Al Habtoor Hits Milestone in Dubai Skyscraper Build

Al Habtoor Group, a UAE-based company, has reached a significant construction landmark on its ambitious 87-floor tower in Al Habtoor City, Dubai, successfully completing over 23% of the project alongside the foundational piling stage.

Situated on Sheikh Zayed Road, near the scenic Dubai Water Canal, Al Habtoor Tower enjoys a prime location close to both the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai International Financial Centre. The project is quickly progressing, demonstrating Al Habtoor Group’s dedication to setting new benchmarks in luxury and innovative development, following its history of major projects like Burj Al Arab and Dubai International Airport Terminals.

Despite its broad scale, with a total built-up area of 3.5 million square feet over 87 stories, the development is advancing ahead of its planned schedule, according to the company.

Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, the Founding Chairman of the Group, commented on the progress and said that the group managed to complete the comprehensive infrastructure and foundational work, along with extensive parts of the 7 podiums totaling 50,000 sq m, in what is typically a two-and-a-half-year task.

He stressed this progress as a key step in the tower’s development, aiming to position it among the world’s largest and most sustainable landmark residential buildings. Al Habtoor Group is committed to timely delivery and maintaining the highest standards and speed, which are the group’s core objectives.

Innovative construction techniques have been a cornerstone of the project, incorporating the highest steel and concrete grades used for the first time in the UAE, significantly lowering carbon emissions. The project utilises a ‘Top & Down’ construction method, cutting down construction time by a year and aiming to complete 350,000 sq m of the built-up area in just 1000 days, Al Habtoor stated.

With what the group has accomplished, the progress will soon be noticeable to even the casual observer, with expectations to reach at least 35 stories by year’s end.

Al Habtoor noted that the skyscraper stands as a testament not only to their innovative approaches to construction but also to their commitment to environmental sustainability.

Completing the tower within a bold 36-month timeframe will mark another significant achievement for Al Habtoor Group, further cementing its reputation as a reliable and outstanding developer.
