Dubai South Properties has officially awarded an AED 150 million contract to Al Turath Al Aseel Contracting for the construction of the South Living Tower, a high-end residential development in The Residential District at Dubai South. This project, introduced in June of this year, was launched with a competitive post-handover payment plan due to the strong demand for larger apartment units within the area.
Scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027, the South Living Tower will offer 209 modern residential units, including a variety of studios, as well as 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments. In addition, there will be exclusive terraced apartments designed to blend indoor and outdoor living spaces. Residents will have access to various luxury amenities such as a swimming pool, a well-equipped gym, a sauna, and a multipurpose room. Other features include a children’s library, a yoga deck, BBQ areas, comfortable gazebo seating, and elevated gardens, all meticulously landscaped to enhance the living environment.
Nabil Al Kindi, CEO of Dubai South Properties, highlighted the growing interest in residential units in the area. He said that with the ongoing development of the new passenger terminals at Al Maktoum International Airport, we’ve observed an increase in demand for housing within Dubai South. This demand is reflected in both sales and rental price growth for residential units. Our focus at Dubai South is to support the government’s vision of attracting one million residents to this area upon the airport’s completion.
Al Kindi also expressed confidence in the capabilities of Al Turath Al Aseel Contracting, saying that they believe their expertise will help them realise this ambitious project, which aims to deliver a premium living experience through thoughtfully designed homes and high-quality finishes. They remain committed to fulfilling the demand for spacious and luxurious residences in this fast-growing area.
Dubai South continues to enhance its Residential District, providing a comprehensive range of services and amenities for its residents, including parks, retail outlets, sports facilities, and a hypermarket spanning 50,000 sq.ft.. Additionally, the district features a mosque, a petrol station, and a public bus route connecting it to the Expo Metro station. A new GEMS Founders School opened in August, subject to KHDA approvals, further adding to the appeal of the area. Currently, more than 25,000 residents call The Residential District home, enjoying its unique blend of comfort, convenience, and gated communities offering a variety of living options.
