Updated UAE Golden Visa Fee Structure Announced

The UAE has updated the fee structure for its highly coveted golden visa, which grants long-term residency in Dubai.

Renowned as a key to extended stays in the city, the golden visa process has been simplified thanks to recent digital enhancements. Initially, obtaining a six-month entry permit, a preliminary step in the golden visa application, now costs AED 1,250.

This adjustment was implemented by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP). The breakdown of the AED 1,250 includes an AED 1,000 issuance fee, AED 100 for the application, AED 100 for smart services, AED 28 for electronic services, and an AED 22 direct contribution to the ICP.

In addition to the adjusted fee, applicants must meet employment requirements set by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE). Eligibility is confirmed for professionals with a bachelor’s degree earning at least AED 30,000 per month.

Applicants are required to submit several documents, such as their passport, a coloured personal photo, and proof of meeting the criteria.

The recent modifications to the UAE Residence and Entry Scheme have expanded eligibility for the golden residence visa to include various categories such as investors, entrepreneurs, exceptional talents, scientists, professionals, top students and graduates, humanitarian pioneers, and frontline heroes.
