Although the number of contracts slightly decreased by 0.9%, mortgage contracts rose to OMR 856.7 million across 10,028 contracts.
Properties issued to GCC citizens rose by 12.3%, indicating a growing interest in Oman's real estate market from neighbouring Gulf countries.
During the first half of the year, properties issued to GCC citizens increased by 5.2%, totalling 666 properties.
